Chandler Sports Precinct

Overview

Originally built for the Brisbane 1982 Commonwealth Games, the Chandler Sports Precinct - more commonly known as the Sleeman Sports Complex, named after former Brisbane Lord Mayor Frank Sleeman - has been a hub for community and high-performance sport for more than 40 years, and upgrades will ensure it continues to be for decades to come.

Precincts works are planned within the site to improve accessibility and accommodate future Games overlay requirements. Precinct upgrades will make it easier for athletes, spectators, and the community to visit the site to compete, train, watch and enjoy.

Upgrades are also planned for the Brisbane Aquatic Centre, Anna Meares Velodrome, Brisbane SX International BMX Centre and Chandler Arena to accommodate a dedicated Para Sports Facility, supporting both community and high-performance athletes.
